PANDUIT has announced the launch of a new, innovative LC System Solution particularly suitable for high-density fibre optic datacenter networks. The modular LC System includes a full range of TIA FOCIS-10 compatible, next-generation small-form-factor fibre optic connectors, patch cords, pigtails and adapters, which together provide superior durability for a longer life and fast, easy installation and management. With a typical insertion loss of <0.11dB*, the PANDUIT LC System offers optical and mechanical performance beyond any of the closest market equivalents.
Designed to reduce total cost of ownership, PANDUIT LC Multimode and Singlemode Connectors feature a unique rear pivot “anti-snag” latch, which reduces latch fatigue for a longer life cycle in excess of 2500 insertions.** The connectors also have a rugged body construction, which assures a stable and reliable performance under side loads. The PANDUIT LC Sr./Sr. and Sr./Jr. Simplex and Mini Duplex Adapters feature integrated panel retention clips and superior weld strength for improved mounting and durability under stress. The System also includes an advanced protective cap, which locks onto the connector latch to protect the ferrule end face from contamination and impact. All these features combine to give a robust and long-lasting system.
Easily deployable, the connectors feature an efficient polishing procedure and anaerobic adhesive termination, which reduce installation time by 50% when compared to heat cured epoxy terminations.
The System simplifies network management for high-density installations; fast, easy and efficient Moves, Adds and Changes (MACs) are guaranteed with an enlarged “positive grip” thumb latch, a duplexing clip which field installs without tools and an audible “click” which provides the user with a definitive signal of successful connector mating.
The LC Mini Duplex Adapters fit into SC Simplex Adapter panel openings to increase connectivity density by 100% in the same rack space. The PANDUIT LC Solution as a whole provides a rugged solution for all high-density networks including telecommunication rooms, data centres, service providers, LANs, public networks and fibre-to-the-desk applications.
